There are so many milk alternatives out there, how do you decide which one is for you? We all have our own way of figuring this out. It could be taste, health benefits, cost or what is available. I like oat milk, my wife drinks lactose free milk. I decided to rave about my love of oat milk, because you need to try it!

Oat Milk
I am not sure who is still drinking milk from a cow in 2020 except my wife and two other people that I love that shall remain nameless in an effort to protect their social media accounts.
As much as we eat out and cook at home food is a huge part of our lives. We constantly find ourselves shopping for various products and items and stumbling on some things that work and others not so much. Which brings us to the topic of milk alternatives. This conversation has been going on for decades, except for when the “Got Milk” campaign was launched. That was a different era and I wasn’t old enough to truly make sense of what went wrong during those times.
My milk alternative journey started with almond milk and grew to cashew milk and now I am on Oat milk. I didn’t do a lot of research on taste and nutrients to be honest. I was only looking for something I could add to my coffee, my cereal or to have a glass with a nice fat slice of chocolate cake.
The right oatmilk will foam when steamed and not leave a nasty aftertaste such as a thick film on your tongue. It’s light and has no side effects like bloating or cramps. Not to mention there is no meat/dairy guilt if you care about those animals the way we do. I have tried many oat milks and “this one reigns supreme”. (that was an original Iron Chef Japan reference- if you know, you know) Oat-Ly! It's delicious. Try it!!
